Welcome back to The Tourism RESET. My next guest is the author of a bestselling travel memoir, is the founder of Climate Conscious Travel and the sustainable travel blog, The Shooting Star, my next guest grew up in the foothills of the Himalayas in India.
In 2011, at the age of 23, Shivya Nath waved goodbye to a corporate job, sold her possessions and embarked on an adventure of a lifetime, sparked by her curious nature.
For the next 7 years Shivya lived out of her bag, immersing herself in local communities from Guatemala to Uzbekistan; those experiences shaped her into a passionate advocate for slow, solo travel and community tourism.
