Curated Questions: Conversations Celebrating the Power of Questions!
This episode dives into the significant political question posed by Ronald Reagan during the closing moments of his 1980 presidential debate with Jimmy Carter: 'Are you better off than you were four years ago?' Ken Woodward explores the context of the 1980 political climate, marked by economic difficulties, high inflation, unemployment, and international issues such as the Iran hostage crisis and concerns about U.S. global standing and nuclear threats. Reagan's question, which became iconic in U.S. political discourse, was noted for its simplicity, personal relevance, emotional resonance, and strategic timing. The question invited voters to reflect on their circumstances rather than abstract policies, ultimately contributing to Reagan's landslide victory. The episode details six crucial lessons for crafting influential questions, emphasizing audience perspective, engagement, simplicity, timing, self-reflection, and a call to action. Listeners are encouraged to consider how such questions have shaped their decisions and to apply these insights in personal and professional contexts. This Curated Questions episode can be found on all major platforms and at CuratedQuestions.com . Keep questioning! Did you feel the knee-jerk need to answer right away when your politician asked? Did you actually do the homework to determine what factors were most important to you, then look at data vice depending on emotion? Is it any easier to see why someone in a different circumstance may answer differently than you? How did the question affect your answer when the opposing politician asked it? Did you use the same metric for the candidates or give your preferred candidate extra leeway? What famous questions continue to pop up in your world?…

In this study Pastor Kevin shares how Ezekiel is a type of Christ.
In the book of Ezekiel we are told how the glory of God had departed from Israel. Now in this passage we see how the glory of God had returned to Israel.
In this passage of Scripture we will hear songs of praise. The first one who gave praise was the unborn child of Elizabeth as he leaped for joy! They all gave praise, because Jesus Christ was going to born as God had promised.
Here we see a shocking announcement is given to Mary. The Angel Gabriel visits Mary and tells her that she would give birth to a Son, even though she was a virgin. Her response to the angel was "...be it unto me according o thy word(Luke 1:38)."
Before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, his forerunner was born. Before the Angel Gabriel visited Mary, he visited Zacharias the priest. This passage is about the promise given to Zacharias and his wife Elizabeth.
In the final chapter of the book of Ruth, everyone is anxiously awaiting the outcome. What is going to happen to Ruth? Will she be able to marry Boaz, or will the other kinsman accept his responsibility. We will see how everything is working out according to God's will.

1:06:25In this chapter Ruth gleans in the field of someone that is a "kinsman." We see that Boaz, who is a type of Christ, shows favor to Ruth. She not only gets "handfuls of purpose" of grain, but she gets more than she could ever imagine. In this chapter we see with God there is "No Limit" to His grace.
This story takes place during the time of the Judges. The time period of the story of Ruth probably took place when Jair judges Israel: 1126-1105 B.C. (Judges 10:3-5). Dearth in Israel. vs. 1-2 Death in Moab. vs. 3-5 Decision to Make. vs. 6-15 Desire for the Lord. vs. 16-18 Defeated Attitude vs. 19-22…
In the oldest compilations of the Old Testament, the book of Ruth was not included with the books of history. It was included with the books of prophecy. The book of Ruth is read in its entirety all night long during the Feast of Pentecost.
Happy Thanksgiving!
