Welcome back to the More Than Enough Podcast! We’re so glad you’re here with us as we journey through this Advent season. This week, we’re lighting the second candle on the Advent wreath—the Bethlehem Candle—and leaning into the theme of peace.
Today, we’re reflecting on Mary and Joseph’s incredible journey to Bethlehem. Can you imagine it? A 90-mile trek on foot or donkey, with Mary heavily pregnant, through cold, rainy weather and a town bursting at the seams. It wasn’t comfortable, it wasn’t convenient, and yet, in the midst of it all, God’s peace was there, sustaining them.
As we think about their story, it invites us to consider our own lives. How often do we long for peace—true peace, the kind that stays steady no matter what chaos surrounds us? That’s the peace we’re talking about today. It’s the peace of God that isn’t tied to circumstances but instead fills our hearts, giving us strength even in the waiting, in the uncertainty, and in the hardest moments.
Whether you’re in a season of waiting, walking through a trial, or just needing a moment to breathe, we pray this episode encourages your heart and reminds you of the beautiful gift of God’s peace.
