'Losing a Car' & 'Losing it at His Daughter's Funeral'
Manage episode 433942338 series 3410861
First, the plaintiff says he and the defendant got into an argument at a funeral and the defendant tossed an orange cone at his Cadillac and dented it. He’s suing for the cost of the damage. The defendant says his daughter had died, and there were allegations the plaintiff’s brother abused her as a child. He admits he lost his temper but insists the cone slipped out of his hand.
Then, the plaintiff says he brought his car to the defendants’ shop for repairs, but it was gone when he went to pick it up — stolen by some lady right off the lot with all his expensive equipment in the trunk. He says the defendants won’t reimburse him, so he’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendants say the plaintiff told them his daughter would pick up the car, but somehow a stranger took off with it. The plaintiff got insurance for it, so why should they pay?
