Manage episode 430646486 series 3410861
The plaintiff says she and the defendant were roommates, but things didn’t work out with the temperamental defendant. She’s suing for the value of her belongings after the defendant threw them out on the street. The defendant says the plaintiff is lying. She alleges her former friend stole her items and donated them, so she’s countersuing for their worth.
Then, the plaintiff says she stored belongings in the basement of the two-family home her mother rents, but they got wet in a rainstorm. The defendant, who also lives there, is the only person who could have left the windows open, so she’s suing him for compensation. The defendant says the plaintiff isn’t his tenant, and he denies that there are water issues in the basement.
Plus, the plaintiff says he was driving his restored Cadillac and it was T-boned, so he took it to the defendant for repair. He says the defendant parked it on the street and got three tickets, and also failed to fix it properly. He’s suing for part of the repair costs and the tickets. The defendant says he did straighten the frame, and the plaintiff waited too long to pick it up, so the tickets are the plaintiff’s fault.
