These apps are designed to be addictive so that you spend as much time as possible on the app. Yes, YouTube is also an app, but there are some major differences. The biggest difference is that the lifespan of a YouTube video is years. The lifespan of a post or reel on social media is probably 24 hours, a week if you’re lucky.
