In Episode One we heard how external expectations weren’t particularly high heading into the 2013/14 season but a consistent, talented squad led by Russell Slade had other ideas. Those in charge at Brisbane Road had been building a squad that they thought could challenge against the might and budget of teams like Sheffield United, Wolves, Brentford and Rotherham. Orient headed into pre-season settled and quietly confident but no one could have realistically predicted what was to come.
