In this installment, Jha explains the significance of the just-announced Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which follows last week’s welcome news about Pfizer’s vaccine; the still-rising toll of the pandemic as it ravages the U.S. and many foreign nations; and President Trump’s continuing refusal to give President-elect Joe Biden’s team the federal resources it needs to fully develop its pandemic plans.
Jha also talks about the example set in Michigan, where on Sunday Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced new stay-at-home limitations starting Wednesday. And he breaks down the sacrifices people will have to make on Thanksgiving to avoid that holiday becoming a new source of widespread community transmission of coronavirus disease.
