James 1:13 says "God does not tempt anyone" and in Matthew 6:13 Jesus teaches his disciples to pray "... Lead us not into temptation". How can both of these be true? As we seek to grow deeper in prayer and in union with God in our fight against temptation, consider that Jesus would rather die than sin, but we would rather sin than feel like we were dying. We pray that you will be drawn closer to Christ as you learn to pray the way Jesus taught His disciples in your daily devotion to God.
