Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
I have been looking forward to getting to this particular episode of Video Game Book Club all year. The wait was worth it! This classic is a hidden gem, that is thankfully much more accessible today thanks to Steam, and particularly the Steam Deck, which this is a perfect fit for! I wanted to be sure I completed this game before its remake comes out next year, and I am glad that I decided to do this! This is a classic RPG that stands right up there with the classics among Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. This game sets itself apart with the world it is building, and how good the characters feel to interact with. Make sure you don't miss this one if you are an RPG fan. This is the first part of a 2 part Video Game Book Club episode, with the second half to be posted before the end of this month. Tune in to find out why I am so enthralled by this game!
