Giyani Metals Corp (TSX-V:EMM, OTC:CATPF) president and CEO Danny Keating takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the latest developments at the company's K.Hill manganese project in Botswana. Keating provided an update on the progress at the demonstration plant site, where they are installing nine process module skids. Currently, seven out of the nine skids have been installed, which marks significant progress since the last update. "We're up to seven now, so that's five more than when we updated everyone before," said Keating. The plant is being built in reverse order, starting from the crystallisation section and moving towards the ore and milling sections. As the installation progresses, they are concurrently working on complex piping and instrumentation, aiming for early commissioning parts of the process. Keating also discussed the recent completion of an infill drilling program at K.Hill, aimed at converting indicated resources into the measured category for the first five years of production. This is a crucial step for de-risking the project and securing financing. "We've done about 3000 meters of drilling to ensure a measured resource for the initial project phase," Keating explained. Additionally, Giyani Metals has secured the surface rights to approximately 1,000 hectares of land, including rights to an adjacent solar farm. This milestone supports their commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of their operations. The company is targeting the commissioning of the demonstration plant in the fourth quarter of the year, with the team working tirelessly to meet this goal. Investors should keep an eye out for further updates on the demonstration plant and the progress on mining licenses.
