But his first meeting with Jesus is under cover of darkness, because Jesus had become quite controversial among the Jewish religious leaders, and it was risky to show any interest in Him. We can learn a lot about Jesus by paying close attention to how he related to this distinguished and wise leader, and how Nicodemus related to Him.
