She is the Founder and acting CEO of Sown Emancipation, an educational business focused on exposing youth to entrepreneurship and fostering Black business creation. Maliza is a strategic partner for grassroots community organizing and political campaigns. Her passion for better outcomes and increased access drives her work as a servant leader in the Twin Cities. She enjoys cooking, sewing, and spending time with loved ones in her spare time.
