I'm excited to share the inspiring conversation I had with Ms. Evelyn Magley, the CEO and Founder of The Basketball League (TBL) and The Basketball Super League (BSL) for the Own Your Brand Podcast episode! About Evelyn:
Evelyn Magley is the first woman to own a professional sports league. She is the CEO of The Basketball League (TBL), a five-year-old organization that is larger in footprint than the NBA G League, with 49 professional teams in the United States and Canada. By design, TBL gives back to local communities through events and activities that empower youth.
Evelyn is an in-demand speaker due to her accomplishments, passion, and subject matter expertise. After a long career as a music teacher and fundraiser, she pivoted at 60 to do the impossible and start a men’s pro basketball league. She has been featured in Forbes, Yahoo, and Black Enterprise.

Victoria Odekomaya is a Nigerian American and former drug research scientist turned brand and marketing expert. Through her Creative Agency, LiMStudios, she specializes in brand photography, video creation, and strategic marketing. Victoria's mission is to empower female entrepreneurs to be SEEN, KNOWN, and HEARD, enhancing their visual presence and attracting their ideal customers to build a BANKABLE PERSONAL BRAND. Victoria's scientific background has honed her analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, which she integrates into her branding strategies. Her 23-year journey to U.S. citizenship reflects the perseverance female entrepreneurs need to overcome challenges in branding and marketing. In 2022, Victoria launched the BOSS LADIES CAMPAIGN, giving participants a celebrity photoshoot experience to enhance their confidence and brand visibility.
