Lauren is the Director of Communication for the City of Beaumont, TX, and Former Tourism Developer of Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Lauren loves to talk to visitors about why they should come to this weird little corner of the world, and share with locals everything they didn't know about their city -- services they didn't know were offered, things to do, things they had no idea about how a local government operates.

I've been reading Untamed, which is all about teaching females to unlearn all the societal norms they've been taught for so long. One of my favorite quotes from there -- "Every time you're given a choice between disappointing someone else and disappointing yourself, your duty is to disappoint that someone else. Your job, throughout your entire life, is to disappoint as many people as it takes to avoid disappointing yourself."
