ABOUT Juan Gabriel “Rambo” Reynoso 🎬
Juan’s storied life has taken him from football to the fire department film crew. In his early years, if not for an accident that tore Juan’s meniscus, he was 2 days away from signing with the Los Angeles Raiders NFL football team as a punter and kicker and 2 weeks away from working as a stuntman in the Hollywood feature film “Bulletproof,” which starred Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler and was directed by Ernest R. Dickerson.
In Juan’s colorful career, from his early years through today, he’s had the opportunity to cross paths with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. At a young age, Juan studied alongside Anthony Anderson (“Grown-ish,” “Law & Order,” “Black-ish”) at The Los Angeles County Academy of Performing and Visual Arts (A UCLA Extension Program).
One of his first appearances in a Hollywood feature film was in “Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult,” directed by Peter Segal, whose cast included Leslie Neilsen and O.J. Simpson.
After being given a big break to audition by Hollywood casting director Dianne Crittenden (“Spider-Man 2,” “The Thin Red Line,” “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”), Juan’s first speaking part in a major Hollywood feature film was as the henchman, Haseem, in Paul Michael Glaser’s (“Starsky and Hutch,” “Ray Donovan,” “Criminal Minds”) “Kazaam,” starring Shaquille “Shaq” O”Neal.
Recently, Juan played a stepfather in the Sundance Film Festival feature film and NEXT Innovator Award Nominee “La leyenda negra,” written and directed by international award-winning filmmaker Patricia Vidal Delgado.
