Jumped right into a full time teaching position and science department chair… because that is what everyone does right out of college… get a job settle into a work driven life and try to cram my hobbies around my work time. After 7 years of teaching, working 70+ hours a week, neglecting my friends family, and most importantly… ME... I was barely sleeping, consistently worrying and anxious, I wasn’t working out, gained 30 pounds, and stressed to the max. I was so down and out, upped my anxiety medication… spiral spiral spiral. Does this sound familiar? I was overwhelmed, exhausted, empty, & unfulfilled. My work life harmony was absolutely nonexistent. Something had to give. So I quit. Yes as a teacher, I quit mid-year and started my own business. I took a step back, realized I wanted to take control over my life, my time, and my health.
