When Planning Events, Workshops, Conferences...Don't Skip THIS - #097
Manage episode 235895191 series 1256932
(Brought to you by www.selloutmyevent.com)
The most important first step in planning out events is a clear strategy with a well defined and specific goal.
This is obvious, right?
However, the thing we see often gets missed is that there is little/low effort placed on managing the expectations of deliveries across timelines.
So... how can you avoid this management nightmare and get everybody on the team ready for the next event, workshop, conference or concert?
And, perhaps more importantly, make this a "template" process you can use again and again?
Answer: The event project calendar.
You'll hear me talk about this today, and also some tools that you can test out to see how they work for you. We also like www.airtable.com and www.trello.com
Many options exist as far as software tools go. There is no "best tool" per se.
You can find the the one that works for you, and make sure that the calendar and project planner is embraced and understood by everybody on your team.
Key stakeholders should have access and edit capability for "their" area. (and make sure you get automatic alerts when this happens).
