Main Idea: Everyone is a gift with gifts to share Scripture: Acts 2 :42-47 OUR GIFTS ARE MADE TO SHARE: We are called to do life with others We are called to share what we have been given When we share our gifts, multiplication happens THREE RESPONSES: We will live life in a community, not in isolation We are generous with our gifts. We witness God grow in our community. APPLICATION: Faithfully and consistently gather in community and fellowship with other believers. As a community, commit yourselves to the apostles’ teachings and take time to fellowship, share meals, and pray together. Be generous with the gifts that God has given you, and allow others to be generous with you. Be prepared to praise God for growing your community and bringing people to salvation in him. SERIES OVERVIEW: As Christians, we serve a benevolent God who freely gives good gifts. Part of being made in God’s image is having gifts and talents that help reflect His nature to the world. Whether someone has not followed Jesus or been a Christian for decades, we can all discover that we are gifted for more. Throughout this sermon series, we will journey through the life and letters of Paul to learn that everyone is a gift, and it takes all of us to recognize and use our gifts to build the Kingdom of God. Week 2 Everyone is a Gift with Gifts SCRIPTURE: Romans 12:3–8 NLT MAIN IDEA: Everyone is a gift with gifts. Do a thorough evaluation of the gifts that you have. Combine this reflection with your EveryGift (www.everygift.org) Inventory results and conversations with those closest to you. Recognize how your gifts can be best used in your life (among your family, vocation, community, church, etc.). Thank God for his benevolence in giving you gifts.
