It seems every time you turn around there is a new story about a cult! There are numerous documentaries today devoted to revealing the inner workings of how cults function and maintain such large followings.
Today let's look at two different groups that could be considered cults, Yogi Bhajan and his 3HO organization bringing Kundalini yoga to the west, and Scientology, founded by L. Ron Hubbard and his theory of Dianetics.
We'll go over the various characteristics these two cults use to lure people in. Let's touch on the manipulation tactics that are used, as well as the cults ability to bait individuals, hook them to join, and then switch the tone once they are fully committed.
These are not only common traits within nefarious cults, but also in any organization that has an agenda in swaying your opinion to favor theirs.
