Today we are going to talk about musical instruments

我们先看看一个交响乐队里面有哪些乐器

wǒ men xiān kàn kan yí gè jiāo xiǎng yuè duì lǐ miàn yǒu nǎ xiē yuè qì

First, let's take a look at the instruments in a symphony orchestra /ˈɔːkɪstrə/

第一组是弦乐组

dì yī zǔ shì xián yuè zǔ

The first group is the string section

包括，小提琴，中提琴，大提琴，低音提琴

bāo kuò ，xiǎo tí qín ，zhōng tí qín ，dà tí qín ，dī yīn tí qín

Including violins, violas/viˈəʊlə/, cellos/ˈtʃeləʊ/, and double basses

这些乐器我们用“拉”

zhè xiē yuè qì wǒ men yòng “lā”

We "play" these instruments by bowing[baʊ]

拉小提琴

lā xiǎo tí qín

Play the violin

第二组是木管组

dì èr zǔ shì mù guǎn zǔ

The second group is the woodwind section

包括，长笛，短笛，单簧管，双簧管，大管

bāo kuò ，cháng dí ，duǎn dí ，dān huáng guǎn ，shuāng huáng guǎn ，dà guǎn

Including flutes, piccolos, clarinets[ˌklærəˈnet], oboes[ˈoʊboʊ], and bassoons [bəˈsu:n]

这些乐器我们用“吹”

zhè xiē yuè qì wǒ men yòng “chuī”

We "play" these instruments by blowing

第三组是铜管组

The third group is the brass section

包括，小号，大号，长号，圆号

Including trumpets[ˈtrʌmpɪt], tubas[ˈtju:bə], trombones, and French horns

这些乐器也是用“吹”

第四组是打击乐
