When you meet Shardea Ages she exudes those same qualities. She graduated from Florida A&M University and started her career in finance during the “Great Recession” of 2008. Financial services have few persons of color and few women. Finding a woman of color, business owner, and CFP is almost unheard of.
After years of assimilating at big banks and insurance companies, Shardea discovered that her expertise was needed by someone who looked and sounded just like her.
Her determination was necessary from the beginning. Her path was long and winding. Others would have given up but this Detroit native persevered. In the end and along with two partners (also women of color), she founded her firm in 2021.
Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia her firm assists African American families with wealth management, insurance needs, retirement planning, and more.
