Happy Halloween this month! It was 50 years ago today that Tobe Hooper’s nightmare-on-film and indie Horror masterpiece, “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” had its major release in U.S. theaters on October 11, 1974. Welcome to Jay of the Dead’s New Horror Movies, The Poulan 245A of Horror Movie Podcasts! All nine Horror Avengers are here to celebrate and pay tribute to 50 years of having one of the greatest Horror movies ever made! (A few of us claim it is the greatest because it is our No. 1 of all time!) So, here in Episode 117, Jay of the Dead, Dave “Dr. Shock” Becker, The Gillman Joel Robertson, Mister Watson, Dr. Walking Dead Kyle Bishop, GregaMortis, Count Mackula, Ron Martin and Dave Zee each take about nine minutes to bring you, what we hope you will consider to be, some fresh and unconventional commentary about this seminal film. We each recorded our segments independently of one another. Also, we encourage you to watch the film with the volume low in the background as you watch this film on its 50-year birthday!
