October is "Domestic Violence Awareness" month and I talk to the powerhouse that is Khalidah Bilal, a domestic abuse survivor and who now helps other domestic abuse victims through Huma-Faith and her DAAWN (Domestic Abuse Against Women Nullified) initiative.
This is a raw conversation about some of her own experience with domestic abuse and why it is so hard for victims to escape their circumstances. But that doesn't mean that there isn't hope.
