Last season, the 6-foot-7 Watkins averaged 15.6 points, 6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor. An all-around producer, he ranked in the top 10 of the ACC for both PER (24.2) and plus-minus (9.1).
The ultra-athletic Lawal is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in the ACC. Last season with VCU, he played 19 minutes per game, averaging 8 points, 6 rebounds and 1.6 combined steals and blocks while shooting 67 percent from the floor.
