Hey guys
This week we have so much fun unpacking Turkish weddings and all the wonderful traditions leading to that big day.
In this first part of a two part series, we talk about how the couple meets, the introduction of the families and the 'isteme' or the asking for hand in marriage from the brides family.
Let us know if there are traditions you have that we have not spoken about, or things you have seen in other weddings, or perhaps your own wedding!
Join us next week when we unpack the final two stages of a Turkish wedding that being the Kına gecesi (henna night) and the düğün (the wedding).
