“We don't want Idaho to have a bad reputation. This is our home state. We love our home state. It's beautiful. We pride ourselves on our nature. We pride ourselves on our wildlife. And instead, we are continuing to do things that are… that are sickening.” - Ella Driever In 1995, wolves were reintroduced to central Idaho, and in 2003 a Boise High school called Timberline officially adopted a local wolf pack. Throughout the 2000, students went on wolf tracking trips and in their wolf packs range. But in 2021, Idaho's legislature passed Senate Bill 1211, 1211 allows Idaho hunters to obtain an unlimited number of wolf tags, and it also allows Idaho's Department of Fish and Game to use taxpayer dollars to pay private contractors to kill wolves. That means bounties on wolves, including on public lands. And in 2021, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission expanded the wolf hunting season and hunting and trapping methods. So it's not too surprising to learn that also in 2021, the Timberline pack disappeared. The students, the ones that cared about wolves, at least, were devastated. Last summer I went to D.C. with some of the Species Unite team for a wolf rally on Capitol Hill. While I was there, two young women gave a talk about what happened at Timberline in 2021. Their names are Ella Driver and Sneha Sharma. They both graduated from Timberline High School and were there when their wolf pack disappeared. Please, listen and share.…

In today’s episode, we explore the seventh beatitude: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Jesus calls us to be peacemakers, not peacekeepers—to step into conflict and actively work toward reconciliation. But here’s the surprising twist: often, the ones who oppose us aren’t the people we’re making peace with, but those who disapprove of how we go about it. We’ll also see how this ties into the next beatitude, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness.” Being a peacemaker is messy, countercultural, and sometimes painful—but it’s central to the kingdom of God. Join us as we unpack what this means for our lives and how Jesus shows us the way.…
What does it mean to be "pure in heart"? In this episode, we dive into the sixth Beatitude from Matthew 5:8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Join us as we uncover how this Beatitude calls us to live authentically in a world often marked by brokenness. This week, we are honored to host Kahui Tōpi from Whāriki Ministries, who brought an inspiring and powerful message titled Blind Sighted. Drawing from the story of Paul’s encounter on the road to Damascus, where God temporarily blinded Paul so he could truly see, Kahui shares how this biblical moment resonates deeply with his own life journey. Kahui opens up about a life-altering experience: surviving a near-fatal stroke caused by burnout. Through this trial, he discovered the freedom and restoration that only God can bring. His testimony is a compelling reminder of how God can use even our darkest moments to open our eyes to His purpose and grace. Be encouraged and inspired as Kahui challenges us to see beyond the surface and trust God’s transformative work in our lives. This is a message you won’t want to miss!…

In this episode, we explore Jesus’ second beatitude: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." What does it mean to find blessing in grief? We dive into how true comfort involves facing our pain and inviting God into it, instead of avoiding it. Reflecting on the Bible’s story, from Israel’s exile to Nehemiah’s tears over Jerusalem’s brokenness, we see how mourning goes beyond personal loss—it’s a longing for healing and restoration. Join us as we unpack how Jesus calls us to not only grieve but to let that grief transform us, motivating us toward compassion, justice, and hope for our communities.…
