What is the best choice to choose? If I have no data about the audience, I'm interested in getting leads for a roofer. Okay, so you are looking to start a lead generation campaign, and these are the campaigns. It says here when you're setting up your campaign, select the goal that you would make this campaign successful to you. So it really doesn't matter whether you have data or no data in the account. If it's a brand new account, obviously it’s going to be zero data in the account. So every campaign starts from zero and all you do is select the goal, whether it's for sales, for eCommerce websites, leads for lead generation.

If you just want brand awareness, branding, or driving traffic to a website or a blog, then you click on this one, which is the website traffic, or to a specific page on your blog or website, then you do that. If you are looking for top-of-the-funnel traffic, product and brand consideration and brand awareness and reach. So these two offer them. If you got an app you want to promote and get downloads for, you do that. And if you have got a brick-and-mortar store or a restaurant or a shop, and you want people to visit you, then the goal is for the local store visits and you get found more on Google Maps and stuff like that. So that's how you pick up these goals.

And you can also create a campaign without any of these goals. The only restriction is if you select one or the other, you might get one type of bidding strategy and not the other. So if you want everything in your arsenal you want to target, then you start with the campaign goal guidance. So it just tells Google's algorithm what you are looking for. So I would recommend going back two to three years. I would say just start without the goal guidance. But now with the algorithm, the weight is going and heading towards getting clever and clever and smarter smarter day by day. I would say just select one of these and you'll be good to go.
