We are focusing on Advent where we learn from author, Ashley Wallace about some of the whys and whats of Advent along with some ideas for your congregation and family during this season. We also talk with singer/songwriter Wendell Kimbrough who happens to have written many songs that lend well to Advent themes.
Ashley Wallace is the author of the book, A Thrill of Hope: Celebrating Advent at Home. She is a homeschooling mom of four and the wife of Anglican priest, John Wallace. She and her family live in the panhandle of Florida, where they planted Apostles By-the-Sea Anglican Church.
Wendell is a singer/songwriter/worship leader. His songs are marked by strong singable melodies, steeped in the sounds of folk, gospel, and soul music. He serves as artist-in-residence and worship leader at Church of the Apostles in Fairhope, Alabama. He releases a song every month on the Patreon platform where you can support his efforts.
