Today marks an important day in the history of America. Donald Trump, the 47th president-elect of the United States of America, will be inaugurated at the US Capitol Building in Washington D.C. From George Washington to Donald Trump, every US president has participated in an inauguration where there is an official swearing-in and an inaugural address where they share their vision of hope with the nation. So, what was Jesus’ first message? “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” This is Jesus’ vision and message of hope for all people. Jesus inaugurated the Kingdom of God and will consummate it when He returns. He is the true King who will reign and rule over all forever.
