Are you torn over whether girl dinner is a subversive feminist statement or just a silly meme? We don’t have an answer, but we do have a linguistic analysis over why we choose the word girl over woman for trendy media, and what that means for our concept of adult womanhood. Can we call ourselves women if we’re not married or mothers? Can we still be fun and socially valuable if we aren’t “teenage girls in our twenties”? God we hope so !!!
