In this Episode Dr Botox Dr Danielle Marr Collins talks all things stand up comedy, and outlines her journey starting as far back as 2012 in Brighton UK, to where she is now recording her podcast before being picked up to perform up on Sunset at a world famous comedy club. She expresses her delight at the huge comics she gets to watch every night at different clubs, and the fact that it is an apprenticeship.
It is quite apparent that the comedy community in Los Angeles have carefully flanked and protected her privacy during this time she has been allowed to develop as a comic in private, the biggest gift has been her privacy and the comedy community in LA.
She speaks about her favorite comedians, and also what it is to create an act, comparing it at times to a flower stand, a book shelf full of books, and speaks of the minor pitfalls in negotiating what can at times be shark infested waters, how to not only survive, but how to stay always focused on the end goal.
