Reviewed: M3GAN 2.0 Top Lists: 2000s Movie Robots Guest: Stephen Wester Celebrating This Month: Uma Thurman LIGHTS! CAMERA!! ATLAS!!! That’s not the slogan for Atlas Lighting – specializing in renting light and camera equipment for all sorts of film and media productions – but it **COULD** be. And I bring this C-tier (at best) pun into this write-up, not just because I’m foolish, but because it does actually tie into our guest this week – Stephen Wester! The owner and founder of Chicago’s very own Atlas Lighting! Stephen’s tagging along with us as we go over the top 5 movie robots of the new millennium and as we discuss M3GAN 2.0. And don’t even get me started on “Light” movie trivia and this month’s brand new theme – Uma Thurman. Love, -KP Atlas Link: https://www.atlaslightingchicago.com/…

Reviewed: 28 Years Later, F1 Celebrating This Month: Brad Pitt This episode is being released on June 23rd 2025. And on the same day in 1997, Hanson’s Mmmbop just landed on the top of the UK’s billboard chart. And just like Hanson didn’t know what relationships and friendships would last forever, we never knew CinemaJaw would go on to record 706 episodes. Low and behold: here we are today… 28 Years Later . ( ?° ?? ?°) That’s right baby we’re back with our 706th episode and we’re talking zombies this week. Matt and Ryan caught up with 28 Years Later and those two have THOUGHTS. We also have a review of the new Brad Pitt flick F1 – the reason we’re celebrating him this entire month! Fast Zombies. Fast Cars. Fast lifestyles. This one’s a goodie y’all. Reviewed: How To Train Your Dragon, The Materialist Celebrating This Month: Brad Pitt Knock knock. Who’s there? Dragon. Dragon who? Dragon DEEZ NU- … ya’ know what… never mind. I’m not finishing this joke. We all saw How to Train Your Dragon though so there’s that! While I’m obviously partial as a member of the podcast, I do think this particular review raises some fun conversation around these live-action remakes as Matt, Ryan, and KP all share their thoughts on Dreamworks’ first entry in the live-action remake ring. And hey, y’all already know – just like how society will put more and more funny words in front of the phrase “deez nuts” – CinemaJaw will always be bringing you more and more reviews. Ryan got out to see The Materialist, Dakota Johnson’s latest RomCom. Chris Evans Stump the Kubinski this week. And a big BIG fishtanks this week too. We got a lot of awesome feedback on the Prequel Vs. Spin-off debate… a war that to this day, has no true victor. It’s a good episode this week guys. You’re going to have a cool fun nice cool time. Reviewed: Mission: Ballerina, The Phoenician Scheme Top 5: Movie Spinoffs Celebrating This Month: Brad Pitt Allow me to take you on a journey Jaw Heads. Visualize in your mind’s eye: you go to a second-hand record store. You rifle through the bargain bin and find a press of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, abridged of course to fit onto one disc. You purchase that record, go home and put it on. You start to think of CinemaJaw as this wax recording of the iconic ballet spins. It’s natural to think of CinemaJaw during these moments because for the 704th episode – we’re talking about BALLERINA – a SPIN off of John Wick. Okay, that intro was a stretch, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that we are Ana De ARMED and ready to review this action-packed spin off staring none other than… Ana De Armas. And, you know what, the spinning off doesn’t stop there. The top 5s this week are the best movie spin offs, which is no easy feat. But Matt and Ryan find the worth-while watches nonetheless and – without spoiling anything – this top list has some of the best discussion (or arguing) we’ve put out all year. That’s not all though, Ryan also got out to the new Wes Anderson film: The Phoenician Scheme. He also put Matt to the test on Ana De Armas trivia and we get to see if our boy, our Kubinski – is stumped. Love, -KP KP’s Links: Pancakes and Booze: https://www.pancakesandbooze.com/chicago…
Reviewed: Mission: The Karate Kid: Legends, Bring Her Back Celebrating This Month: Brad Pitt Jawheads, as far as fans go… you’re the *BEST* around. And nothing’s gonna ever bring you down. And if anything ever *did* bring you down, CinemaJaw would be there to pick you back up onto your feet as though we were picking up wayward fruit flies with our chopsticks. And with an intro like that, I am sure you all know what I’m getting at with our review this week – and you are absolutely correct. I can confirm we are reviewing Bring Her Back – the new horror flick by Danny and Michael Philippou of Talk To Me fame. I know. I know. You all are wondering if this film is going to hold up to its legacy and if it’s even worth it to show up in your prom night shower cosplay. And you’re going to have to listen to the second review find out! Oh yeah… and we also did a review in the first half for a movie called… uh… The Karate Kid: Legends. Something like that. I guess some dudes named Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan are in it. I guess that’s kind of our “main” review this week if I’m reading the notes I have right. We’re also starting a new monthly theme, and… my god how have we not done this one before? We’re celebrating Brad Pitt ALL. MONTH. LONG BAYBEEEEEE. And finally, to close the show – we’re doing what we always do. We’re playing trivia. And this week, we’re doing Ralph Macchio/Jackie Chan Movie Trivia. Since we’re solo this week – y’all already know we’re gonna try and Stump the Kubinski on this one too. Take ‘er easy and enjoy the show folks! -Waxing off with Love, KP KP’s Links: Fox River Arts Ramble: http://www.foxriverarts.com/ Pancakes and Booze: https://www.pancakesandbooze.com/chicago…

Reviewed: Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning, Fountain of Youth Top Lists: M: I Movies – Ranked Celebrating This Month: Natalie Portman Agent Jawhead, the movies need your immediate attention. Codenames: “Movie Guy” and “The Kubinski” are at it again and only YOU can listen to them. Your episode – should you choose to download it, will include a review of the newest Mission: Impossible flick, The Final Reckoning. And just like the time the entire list of Jawheads fell into the hands of Filmspotting – Movie Guy and The Kubinski’s lists containing their best-to-worst Mission: Impossible films will fall into your hands. And that’s not all Agent J. The madmen even hacked into Apple TV’s mainframe, watched Fountain of Youth starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman, then recorded themselves talking about it for distribution to their closest allies. You should know Jawhead… The Kubinski has been training for this episode his entire life. He’s been honing his skills in movie trivia for over a decade, and even this week played Movie Guy in a round of Mission: Impossible cast movie trivia. This is no small commitment Agent J. This episode will push your mind and body to their limits. The world will be once again free to keep on jawing about the movies. Reviewed: Friendship, Final Destination: Bloodlines Top Lists: Comedies of the New Millennium Celebrating This Month: Natalie Portman At the time of writing this, I’m having a dilemma Jaw Heads. So get this – in this episode, Matt and Ryan review the new Tim Robinson movie Friendship. They go over their top 5 comedy films of the new millennium. It’s an episode all about the laughs, ya know? Here’s where the problem comes in: I have absolutely no idea how to write this post description. You guys know me. People always are saying “KP’s such a hyuckster”. “She’s so funny”. As flattering as that is, I’m truly just a buffoon. What’s more, a buffoon who knows her own reputation and the expectations of humor that come alongside it. And I do not know how the hell to write something comedic… about… comedy. What I *DO* know how to write – is low-effort conversational segues. And that brings me to my next point: Ryan also got out to check Final Destination Bloodlines – and this is a surprisingly awesome listen. I know what you’re thinking: “It’s a Final Destination movie… What can Ryan really have to say about it?” And just trust me on this one. I felt the same way too until I heard it. JUST LIKE how I ALSO felt like we wouldn’t be doing Paul Rudd Stump the Kubinski until I heard it (okay, that one wasn’t just low-effort, it was flagrantly untrue; I knew we were doing that). Those reviews. That top 5. And This Trivia!! It’s one for the books. I’m dead serious. Zero percent joking about this one guys. Nothing funny to comment because I am too much of a buffoon to even make a make a joke about this episode.
