Our Spring Training preview show continues as we discuss the idea that Jerry Dipoto could be sitting on a major trade, but has the window closed already? Jeff Passan talked about the possibility of the Mariners sitting on a big trade, but it seems like this was something that needed to be put in motion months ago. The Mariners pitching staff was incredible last year; is it possible that there’s still room for improvement individually and as a whole? :30- Klint Kubiak was introduced as the Seahawks OC yesterday and addressed the ongoing concerns for the Seahawks O line. 1 H1: 2-11 We're still trying to figure out what happened to the Chiefs...Time to play Big Up and the NBA Drama is real! 32:29
Brrrrrr… it’s cold out there! Football season has come to an end and people are still mystified about Patrick Mahomes’ terrible Super Bowl performance. Where was the Andy Reid/Mahomes plan B? Perhaps that was the most surprising thing- they weren’t able to adjust in the blowout. :30- It’s time to play Big Up with the Mariners’ outfield. What can we expect from Julio, Randy and Victor this season? :45- The NBA Drama is alive and well! The league seemed to be struggling a bit this season, but a very active and blockbustery trade deadline revived the drama for now.…

1 H1: 2-10 the Eagles dominate in the Super Bowl and someone predicted this! Coach Bucky is in the house! 40:35
The Eagles are Super Bowl Champions and it may have been the most dull Super Bowl of all time. Yeah, sure, we’ve seen blowouts before, but it’s more fun when it’s your own team blowing out the Broncos. The Eagles defense just dominated Mahomes and the Chiefs from start to finish. :30- Bucky has been high on the Eagles for awhile now, but perhaps no one made a better prediction that Andrew Brandt did a few weeks ago; predicting that the defensive line of the Eagles would dominate and Mahomes would have his worst game of the season in a lopsided Eagles victory. Whoah! :45- Coach Bucky s here! - Coach Bucky brought his world-famous Elk Dip but the chips were a problem. - Would you have chosen one of the Eagles defenders as the MVP over Hurts? - What message does Coach Bucky want to deliver to the Mariners Clubhouse ahead of Spring Training?…

Coach Mike Holmgren joins us for his weekly visit and shares his emotions and thoughts following the Hall of Fame news.
Hugh has broken down a lot more than the Super Bowl!
- We were hoping to have Brett Favre on to celebrate Coach getting into the Hall of Fame, but just because the voters snubbed him, doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate the legendary career of Coach Holmgren. - Favre shares Coach’s influence on him and his career and his disbelief that Coach didn’t get the call. - Sterling Sharpe is in - The Halloween story! :30- Super Bowl Sunday is almost here, what will our game day experience be like? - Close game? - Super Bowl ads - The snack spread! :45- People in NY are complaining that Eli didn’t get elected into the Hall of Fame. - He’s definitely not 1st ballot HoF worthy, but is he Hall of Fame worthy?…

It’s a Football Friday and we are PISSED! Mike Holmgren got snubbed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame and we can’t figure out what the hell happened. Coach was more than deserving and for some reason the voters chose to only send 4 people into the HoF, the smallest class since 2005 and we can apparently blame “math” for the whole thing. Why is the NFL trying to make things so difficult now? :30- Last night was a weird- ass night in sports. We attempted to watch some huge NBA matchups, the NFL Honors and the Kraken game and nothing wanted to work! :45- We give our no cliché keys to victory for the Super Bowl. Who do we think will win and how will they do it? (Refs) No cliches allowed!…

Is this the year? - We discuss the Super Bowl matchup :45- We close out this show with one last thing and one BIG hope for Coach to make it into the Hall of Fame tonight!…

1 H1: 2-6 Morning Show 4, snow 0. It's Holmgren Day (we hope)! NBA Trade deadline is hours away and our Super Bowl series continues. 36:36
The snow really tried to win today, but owned it again. 4 for 4. Take that, Snow! Today is THE day! The day we find out if Coach Holmgren is rightfully entering the NFL Hall of Fame. The wait is agonizing, and we apparently won’t find out until 7pm. Do we think Coach gets in this year? Yes, we do. Will we be pissed if he doesn’t? Hell yes, we will! :30- The Seahawks have restructured Leonard Williams’ contract. We will discuss this more with Gregg at 7:05! The NBA Trade deadline is in less than 6 hours and they have succeeded in creating the buzz they so desperately needed, even during Super Bowl week. :45- Our Super Bowl series continues with a look at Special Teams. We look at the Chiefs and Eagles through a Seahawks lens and have decided that in this category, the Seahawks measure up.…
Jerry Dipoto made a lot of Mariners fans angry earlier in the week by defending a lack of activity this offseason, but is he really just covering for ownership? - There have been several instances of Jerry and Justin commenting on the team and the moves or lack thereof that certainly seem like they’re covering for the owners. - How much of what they’re saying is what they actually believe? Is that why Jerry’s job is secure? :30- Al Kinisky (Kraken color analyst) joins us following the Kraken shootout loss. - Kaapo Kakko’s contributions - The younger players are stepping up - Are we bad at shootouts? :45- We close out this snowy Wednesday with one last thing!…

Could the Suns trade him? - Where will Jimmy Butler end up? :45- Snowmageddon briefly made an appearance this morning and it took us by surprise. - We discuss how different jobs require different dedication in adverse weather. - Kids, remember to follow our career advice!…

1 H1: Snowmageddon, Kraken inspiration, Super Bowl Series and Could Kupp or Garrett head to Seattle? 37:18
Snowmageddon came and we conquered! This morning’s roads were a mess with surprise snow, but we made it in, yet again and we are undefeated this week! The Kraken managed to tie the game late in the 3rd period to send it to OT and a shootout, but once again, the shootout is our kryptonite. Is the late comeback for one point considered enough of a success to implement Tubthumping as the Kraken song, or are we still on the hunt for our “Gloria?” :30- Our Super Bowl Series continues with a look at the defensive backs. We look at the Chiefs and Eagles through a Seahawks’ lense to see what changes might need to be made to get ourselves to the SB. The Seahawks were once known for DB’s with perhaps the most famous group of DBs in NFL history. Can we get back to Legion of Boom form? How far away are the Hawks with Woolen, Witherspoon, Bryant, Love et al? :45- Myles Garrett and Cooper Kupp are on the trade market! The Rams informed Kupp they’re trading him and Garrett informed the Browns they’re trading him. Could either one of them end up in a Seahawks uniform?…
![Artwork](/static/images/128pixel.png)
1 H4: 2-4 Jerry Dipoto's comments have us talking... The Ol Judge is here and we wrap up with one last thing! 25:16

He pointed out the holes months ago and now, they’re miraculously gone. - Where will the offensive improvements come from? :30- The Ol Judge is here to weigh in on these controversial topics: - A snowball fight is the best snow day activity - The refs will blow a call that gives the Chiefs their 3rd straight SB win - Pecota predicts the Mariners will have 86 wins and make the playoffs. Spot on? - :45- We close out the show with one last thing and our Kraken song suggestions… unfortunately we can’t podcast it!…
We continue our Super Bowl Series with a look at the importance of the running back. We use the Chiefs and Eagles to take a look at what the Seahawks need to do to get to the Super Bowl. Does Saquon Barkley signify the return of the RB as a valued position? How do Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet compare and what really needs to be done to create a better situation for them? :30- Everett Fitzhugh (Kraken PxP) makes his weekly visit. The Red Wings are in town tonight and seem to have figured out how to play to their strengths… can the Kraken do the same? If last week was crunch time, is this week even crunchier? :45- It’s Holmgren week as we wait for the hopeful announcement of Coach getting the call from the Hall!…
![Artwork](/static/images/128pixel.png)
1 H1: 2-4 Dipoto makes everyone angry... again, Super Bowl festivities get underway and we defeated the snow yet again! 34:40
- Jerry Dipoto spoke to the media yesterday and got everyone angry all over again… Defends the offense and the lack of moves this offseason, saying they didn’t have a lot of holes to fill and the offense wasn’t as bad as it’s being made out to be… ;30- The Super Bowl is 5 days away and Opening Night was last night. - Do the Chiefs have the advantage in being there for the 3rd year in a row? - Travis has one question for the media… :45- We defeated the snow for another day and made it into work!…
Elk Dip makes the world go round and quite honestly, the conversation might be more fun than what we actually have to talk about… The Mariners are most likely done making moves this offseason… How do we feel about that? :30- This week could be huge and it’s not because of the Super Bowl. Coach Holmgren could receive news that he’s headed to the Hall of Fame and it’s a big freaking deal. We don’t want to jinx it, but Coach is more than deserving of the honor. :45- We wrap up the show with one last thing!…
![Artwork](/static/images/128pixel.png)
1 H3: 2-3 The NBA's blockbuster deals, we hop on the Meat Wagon and the NFL is gearing up for some rule changes. 36:53
Saturday’s trade of Luka Doncic from the Mavs to the Lakers still has the NBA world buzzing. - Anthony Davis goes to the Mavs, with Dallas saying he fits more into what they need right now. - Doncic was the face of the Mavs and their fans are not happy with the move. - Trading him helps the Mavs avoid a $354 million Super Max contract - Why didn’t they shop around for the best deal? :30- Here comes the Meat Wagon! - Just in time for the Meat Wagon, we have breaking news: The Seahawks are hiring John Benton as their O line coach according to Tom Pelissero. - Nothing official, but the news would sure make it tough for Scott Huff to remain with Hawks… - And MORE breaking news from Pelissero- the Seahawks are hiring Andrew Janocko as the new QB’s coach. - In non-coaching news, Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns. Should the Seahawks go get him? :45- The NFL is looking into some pretty significant rule changes for the 2025 season.…

The Hawks haven’t been bad the last few drafts and while the offensive line draft from the Chiefs/Eagles and Hawks have both been fine, the real difference is the money they put into experienced O Line talent. - The Seahawks philosophy doesn’t seem to be hitting, while the other two have repeated success. :45- It’s been a wintry weekend! Will the snow continue?…
![Artwork](/static/images/128pixel.png)
1 H1: 2-3 Family fun at the Hockey Game! The Blockbuster trade heard round the NBA and Coach Bucky is here! 37:53
Sunday night is family night in the iHeart Kraken Suite! Bucky and Ashley took the families to the Kraken game and it was quite an adventure! Too bad the team couldn’t pull of the W! They rallied back after falling down 3-0 in the 1st period, but this seems like it’s beyond crunch time. They need to figure things out now! :30- The NBA was busy this weekend… it’s trade season and one blockbuster trade had everyone talking. Luka Doncic is now a Laker and Anthony Davis was sent to Dallas. :45- Coach Bucky is in the house! - It seems as if the Mariners are really not adding anymore this offseason; can Ryan Bliss be the guy at 2nd base? - Ryan Grubb is headed to Alabama, are we surprised? - The Grammy’s were last night- who gets Coach Bucky’s Grammy for best song of all time?…
We continue our conversation on the T Mobile park factors and discuss how the Mariners can combat the park’s difficulties to create a true home-field advantage. :30- The Super Bowl is 9 days away and we take a look at the offensive lines of both SB teams and what the Seahawks can do to immediately improve theirs. :45- We close out the show and the week with Booze News!…

Headlines and Gregg Bell (Tacoma News Tribune/933 KJR) joins the show with the latest 12th Man News, including the Seahawks new Pro Bowl additions, Klint Kubiak’s arrival and more. :30- We dive a little deeper into the return of Jorge Polanco and look at the makeup of this roster as it stands now and what we can expect from him in his 2nd year with the M’s. Polanco will move to 3rd and the Mariners save money on the $12 Million they would have owed him. They still need to do more, so where do they go from here? There’s plenty on the free agent market and trade possibilities are still out there as well. :45- Are some rule changes coming to major sports? Both the PGA Tour and NBA are looking at making some pretty big changes!…
![Artwork](/static/images/128pixel.png)
1 H1: 1-31 Bucky is back and cleansed! Super Bowl or MVP? Polanco's return to the M's and the Kraken thump the Sharks! 39:42
Bucky is back from his colonoscopy and he got a special surprise message to wish him well! Cam Newton said he would not trade his MVP for a Super Bowl ring and that he knows he did his job and we discuss. Is there too much put on a Championship to validate and athlete’s success? :30- The Mariners are bring back Jorge Polanco and at this point, it’s something in an offseason where they’ve done nothing. It’s not THE move, but it’s a move that we are ok with. But, and it’s a big BUT, there’d better be more. :45- The Kraken dominated the Sharks in a battle of the seas last night at CPA. Brandon Montour snapped a 20 game goalless streak and put two away last night, going “Full Monty” as Everett put it.…
