Has it ever been so dark you couldn't see anything at all, not even your own hand in front of your face? In Chinese there's a very similar expression. In the spirit of Halloween,

let's get a bit dark for this minisode, and upgrade our Chinese from 太暗了 to 暗得伸手不见五指吧！

所以你在上海的时候，曾经去到过一个很有意思的咖啡馆。这个咖啡馆的名字很有意思，叫做黑暗咖啡馆。它其实是一个餐馆，然后你进去了以后，发现里面伸手不见五指。那人怎么吃饭呢？

Suǒyǐ nǐ zài Shànghǎi de shíhòu, céngjīng qù dàoguò yīgè hěn yǒuyìsi de kāfēi guǎn. Zhège kāfēi guǎn de míngzì hěn yǒuyìsi, jiàozuò Hēi'àn Kāfēi Guǎn. Tā qíshí shì yīgè cānguǎn, ránhòu nǐ jìnqùle yǐhòu, fāxiàn lǐmiàn shēnshǒu bùjiàn wǔzhǐ. Nà rén zěnme chīfàn ne?

Zhège hěn yǒuyìsi, jiùshì shuō cānguǎn lǐ de fúwù shēng dōu shì mángrén, suǒyǐ tāmen duìyú zhège gōngzuò huánjìng hěn shúxī, ránhòu duìyú gùkè lái shuō, jiùshì yīgè rén dā zài lìngwài yīgè rén de jiānbǎng shàng, xiàng kāi yī liàng huǒchē yīyàng, bǎ měi gè kèrén dài dào zìjǐ de wèizhì shàng.
