On September 17 of 2024, Donna Adelson, the matriarch of the now notorious Adelson family of South Florida, will head to trial. She is facing charges for her alleged role in the plot to do in her son-in-law, Dan Markel. Markel lost his life in July of 2014. So far, there've been four trials and four people have been convicted for their roles in this most heinous and tragic crime: Latin gang member Luis Rivera, his childhood friend Sigfredo Garcia, Sigfredo's baby mama and one-time girlfriend to Charlie Adelson, Katherine Magbanua, and Charlie Adelson. Prosecutors are now going for Donna Adelson.
