Kings and Priests - Part 3
Manage episode 365429854 series 3280086
In this teaching, Prophet Hari invites us to reorganise ourselves in prayer to obtain results and solutions.
The Kingdom of God is not one of words and works alone, it is a Kingdom of power and results. There’s nothing more frustrating than to have knowledge but not appropriate it in your life. Your life is a reflection of the kingdom you are plugged into. We must not only be educated in the Word but be empowered by it.
How then, should we approach prayer as a king and priest in Christ?
As a priest we are given the liberty of engaging with God in an intimate manner. Our priestly ministry allows us to commune with God. We are the location God has chosen to speak and work through. As a king, we are meant to be an extension of God, and rule on the earth on His behalf.
As mature children of God we must understand that our mandate is not only to bring our supplications to God’s attention but also to receive solutions from Him.
We have familiarized ourselves with a comfortable theology to accommodate unanswered prayers. Whereas, we are required to investigate and find out why some prayers work and yet some others are left unanswered.
God has already equipped us with the power we require, so through prayer, we must learn to engage with God to receive wisdom and solutions. Do not be satisfied with mediocre results! Your prayers reflect your revelation of God.
In the story of Lazarus, we know that Jesus arrived 3 days after his death, meanwhile, Martha had concluded that she would see her brother on the day of resurrection. We are quick to bring closure, and label situations even before God is finished working.
Things to reconsider, when you have unanswered prayers:
1) Did you tarry in the presence of God until He spoke?
Pray about a matter and don’t retire until you have heard from the Lord. The purpose of prayer is to get a heavenly perspective, and is a means to hear and understand the heart of God. We must make our requests known to God and be diligent enough to wait upon Him.
2) Has God spoken a Word over the situation?
When you hear from God and declare that word, there is an authority behind your words. Declare only after you have a word from the Lord. Famine in the life of a believer is the lack of the voice of God.
3) Are you functioning in your metron?
One reason why your declarations may fail is because it’s outside your sphere of influence. When God gives you a Word, the matter now comes within your metron and you receive the power and authority to declare and decree. Results come when you operate in your assignment and the location that is given to you.
4) Have you raised a worthy altar?
Spiritual battles are won even before we enter the battlefield. Your sacrifice must speak louder than that of the enemy camp in order for you to gain victory.
We read in 1 Kings 18:36, that prophet Elijah called out the whole challenge of fire only after receiving a word from the Lord. The Word brings power, authority and fulfilment.
Kings and priests, pray, hear and speak!
