In Rugby League: So the NRL Qualifying Finals this weekend sees: The Penrith Panthers vs Sydney Roosters at 7:50pm AEST at BlueBet Stadium in Penrith tonight, and tomorrow 4:05pm at AAMI Park in Melbourne, the Storm take on the Cronulla Sharks.
The winners earn a bye and the losers live to fight another day.
In Football: The once most-valuable Premier League franchise – Man U announced its fifth consecutive year of losses.
But CEO Omar Berrada believes the franchise is poised for a turnaround both on and off the field. “Our clear objective is to return the Club to the top of European football,” Berrada said.
One of their key initiatives to boost their financial standings is a new 100,000-seat stadium at Old Trafford.

And finally in the WNBA: Las Vegas Aces star A’Ja Wilson has broken the single-season WNBA scoring record of 939 set just a year ago, and is now just 44 points away from becoming the first WNBA player to score 1000 points in a single season, with four games to go.
This season may be Wilson’s best as she is on her way to a unanimous WNBA MVP while having the Aces in the WNBA title mix once again.
And finally, finally, in Combat Sports: Samoan-Australian warrior, Jai Opetaia defends his IBF World Cruiserweight title on 12 October against Jack Massey in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
While Samoan-Kiwi cult UFC Heavyweight, Justin Tafa has signed to fight Kennedy Nzechukwu – aka ‘The African Savage’ – at UFC308 in Abu Dhabi on 27 October.
