Israel has launched air strikes on southern Lebanon as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah condemns this week’s fatal exploding devices attacks. Moments before Nasrallah’s televised speech, Israel confirmed the strikes. Nasrallah says the device attacks - which killed at least 37 - crossed “all limits, rules and red lines.” More than 2,600 people were injured when thousands of pagers exploded on Tuesday and walkie-talkies exploded on Wednesday. France and the United States are united in calling for restraint, says US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is in Paris. "We believe [a ceasefire] remains possible and necessary. But meanwhile we don't want to see any escalatory actions by any party that makes that even more difficult," Blinken adds. The US is "still gathering information" on Lebanon device attacks, says US Department of State spokesman Matthew Miller.
