Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the British monarch and a symbol of the British monarchy. Originally built as a large townhouse for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703, it became the royal residence when Queen Victoria ascended the throne in 1837. The palace features 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, and 78 bathrooms. It is renowned for its magnificent architecture, the daily Changing of the Guard ceremony, and the beautiful Buckingham Palace Gardens.
