Today in conversation with #author Dawn Funnell, who has written Temira Burtons and the Pharaoh's Treasure. She is an actor and #children's book writer. Her exciting cruise through the Nile river really inspired her into writing the #Egyptian adventure #book for children. She has been to Egypt twice and wishes to return to again for the love of the culture, knowledge and the architecture.
You can also listen to excerpts from the #BBCRadio interview, she performs a paragraph from her book in tones of varied characters. Her skills as an actor are par excellence, she would love to perform a one act show sometime in the near future. Dawn is busy writing her next children's adventure, which is based out in the 18th centoury. It will talk about inventions and innovations during the Victorian times.
While facing writer's block her advice is to take a walk in the countryside and clear the mind while planning the next chapters or characters in the book. Lastly her advice for fellow self publishing authors is to master the craft and never shy away from asking for help.
