Meeting fellow authors on Zoom and then inviting children to join to hear them - The Children and Authors Literary Fanfare and Events (CALFE). Taking CALFE offline to hold it live at Chelmsford Museum as part of Essex Book Festival. Shout out to Marc De’Ath. Bringing Black authors to Essex. Look out for Sade and CALFE in Colchester, Chelmsford and Manchester. The importance of seeing representation in books for children, and the ownership of these books in their homes.
