Scott’s immersion into the commercial construction industry and lifelong passion began in 1995 working as an inside salesperson for United Building Centers. After expanding his experience and knowledge in the industry as a project manager/estimator for Pro Wall Construction and later Olympic Wall Systems, he established Heartland Finishes with his two business partners in 2002. Over the years, Heartland Companies has grown into three divisions and is one of the most respected finishing contractors in the commercial construction industry.

Scott Bleich has held numerous board and committee positions for industry specific organizations and non-profits throughout his life and career. He currently sits on the board for Master Builders of Iowa MBI-WORKS and Ames Economic Development. He is also a proud member of the Ames Rotary. Most recently, he has joined C12 where they help to equip Christian business leaders with the tools they need to achieve excellence. Together, C12 members dig into challenges, seize opportunities, and develop strategic plans—for both prosperous and adverse seasons.

His favorite pastime is being with his beautiful family: wife Angie, daughters Sophia and Alexis, and son Logan. In personal life, God and family are his number one priority with the Iowa Hawkeyes and fly fishing coming in at a close second.
