Grow and Go (Mike Taylor) 11th February 2024 by Faversham Community Church
This Sunday Sam shared something that he felt God has been speaking to Him about for our Church.
Today we're thinking both local and global as we share about Relational Mission's 'The Call' campaign and the part each one of us is invited to play in God's worldwide mission. During our meeting we watched the following video: https://youtu.be/qK6WnPIjiJA?feature=shared
We have started the new year by considering how we have been called by God and what we have been called. Today, Mike picked up where we ended last week, by leading us through 2 Peter 1:5-15.
The month of January provides us with an opportunity to look at the year ahead. Today, Sam spoke 2 Peter 1:1-4 as we consider how God has called us and what He has called us for.

This morning we explored the relationship between hearing and doing, which raises the question: if we're called to be a people of action, how do we know what it is we should be doing? Who are we listening to?
This week Sam will be picking up from where Pete finished last Sunday, as we look at the relationship between trial and temptation. We'll be exploring how, as followers of Jesus, knowing ourselves and knowing God are the key to overcoming.
This week Pete is encouraging us that, even though as followers of Jesus we are to expect trials, by the grace of God we can face them in joy, knowing that by remaining stedfast in genuine faith, we will receive the crown of life.
Over the month of August our Sunday gatherings are going to take on a different pace and rhythm. In this recording, Sam shares our plans about what we can expect

This Sunday, Pete was speaking on the final part of this verse; walking humbly with God.…
One of the key hallmarks of the people of God was (and is) that there should be no one in need in the church. As we continue our CHANGED series, Sam will be helping us to consider how can we respond as the cost of living crisis impacts people in our church families.
This morning, we heard Jesus' words recorded in Luke 6:31-36 and considered what they tell us about God's call for us to be a people who love mercy.
