When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Rutgers takes to the road and loses a heartbreaker in Ann Arbor and a lopsided affair at Purdue. They come home with a chance to go to the Big 10 tournament on the line vs Minnesota.
Rutgers wins two straight to give their post season hopes life. It's on the road for two tough games with Michigan and Purdue. Seton Hall looks for some more magic at home vs Villanova before heading to MSG to take on #7 St John's.
Seton hall get off the mat with home win against the defending champs. Rutgers struggles home and away and now focuses on making the Big 10 tournament.
After struggling at home to Iowa, RU drops it's first game on the west coast swing to Oregon. The Ducks shot 60% from 3 to run away with the game. The next match up at Washington may be a must win for Rutgers chances to make the Big 10 tournament.
Rutgers comes off their best performance of the year at home vs Illinois with a road loss at Maryland. As the NCAA tournament hopes dim the focus turns to the Big 10 tournament.
After a nice road win at Northwestern, Rutgers comes up short at home in a close loss to Michigan. The goal now shifts to making the Big 10 tournament. Seton Hall continues to struggle losing 7 in a row. We discuss both programs future.
Rutgers returns home and has a cold shooting night in a 66-63 loss to Michigan. With half the conference schedule in the books RU has to find away to stay in the top 15 to make the Big 10 tournament.
As we move into February Jersey basketball is struggling. With one of their star recruits banged up, Rutgers has an uphill battle in the Big 10. Seton Hall, with a 5 game losing streak, Seton Hall searches for a win in the Big East.
Rutgers with an outstanding road win at Nebraske revives tournament chances. After a loss to Butler, Seton Hall looks to hang on in the Big East.
A rejuvenated Rutgers upsets Nebraska on the road! Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, Dylan Grant and Zach Martini, all in double figures, led the Scarlet Knights who broke Nebraska's 20 game home winning streak.
Rutgers snaps a 3 game losing streak with a badly needed win over UCLA. They now hit the road to see if they can build on this win. Seton Hall loses in a shoot out with Xavier and sinks deeper in the Big East. Listen Up!
John and Steve discuss the long season ahead. RU faces a must win situation with two home games vs ranked opponents. Seton Hall stops the bleeding with a home win against DePaul. Listen Up!
Rutgers struggles at home continue with an 18 point loss to Purdue at the RAC. They hope to turn things around with one more home game Monday vs UCLA.
Rutgers returns home but can not over come a slow start in a loss to Wisconsin. It only gets tougher with Purdue coming to town on Thursday.
