Complying with demands and churning up clues to find the identity of the culprit as well as avoiding the Feds who are breathing down their necks simultaneously puts stress on the gang. So much stress that they have to reach out for help in an unlikely place. Booth gets a little help from a drug-induced friend. At the end of the day, Booth and Brennan are each other’s ports in any storm.
