Soon after that Paul was hired on at Bohemian Brewery and learned the ins and outs there for 9 years. Since then Paul has been at Unita Brewing Company for the past few+ years moving up from the QC department to overseeing the brewing/cellaring and QC departments. After many times of recording at TF Brewing with many great guests I finally was able to sit down with the man responsible for Templin Family Brewing, Kevin Templin. Kevin and I discuss several topics. We discuss some well known knowledge about Kevins brewing past. From a short stint with home brewing and using old mining caves in Alta to use for primary fermentation on a German style bock bier. Kevin discusses the brewhouse as it stands at a three vessel fifteen-barrel system which allows TF to double brew. I ask Kevin about a recent brew that was highly regarded and seen a huge demand, Protect Ya Neck-ta! Their Hazy Imperial IPA with a Wu-Tang twist. We discuss the significance of the family atmosphere at TF Brewing and how that affects the product and brewery. Britt Templin makes a surprise appearance on the podcast as well! In this episode the podcast travels to Anaheim, CA. I packed up my podcast gear and headed to southern California for a work trip. I sit down in the confines of my suite with Art of @La_Brewlife of Instagram. Over the past several months Art and I have followed each other and supported each others page and craft beer content. We sit down for a fun conversation about the Los Angeles craft beer scene, Utah beer, the experience of enjoying craft beer as patrons. Art was kind enough to bring several cans of LA craft for us to taste (we only tasted four beers) responsibly. Art discusses his page and his long experience with rotating through the local breweries here in Socal, which are vast! We discuss much more and overall have a fun time. Listen and enjoy.
