РЕКЛАМА
Why do so many of us get nervous when public speaking? Communication expert Lawrence Bernstein says the key to dealing with the pressure is as simple as having a casual chat. He introduces the "coffee shop test" as a way to help you overcome nerves, connect with your audience and deliver a message that truly resonates. After the talk, Modupe explains a similar approach in academia called the "Grandma test," and how public speaking can be as simple as a conversation with grandma. ×Send us a text I'm excited to share my latest podcast episode featuring Sean Olson, who joined me for an engaging conversation after we both spoke at the recent DisruptHR event in Columbus, Ohio. Sean shared insights that truly resonated with me—perhaps even more than he realized at the time. I was particularly struck by the meaningful connection between his name and his profession, which added another layer of depth to our discussion. We covered a range of thought-provoking topics relevant to today’s leaders and professionals. I genuinely enjoyed our conversation and am thrilled to share Sean’s wisdom and perspective with my network. If you’re interested in fresh ideas and practical insights, I encourage you to give this episode a listen! Support the show…
Send us a text My interview with Abijot was such a special one. I am very grateful to incorporate information about onomatology that shines a light on other cultural perspectives. AJ provided such an interesting fact about how his name was chosen... and the last question he asked me was SO thought-provoking! You do not want to miss listening to this episode! Support the show…
Send us a text I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Marie. I found that it was very easy to interview her and I appreciated her perspective. I really hope you'll give this episode a listen. Support the show
Send us a text This episode was such an inspiring conversation for me. I learned a lot about names within the Indian culture, as well as how my friend and work colleague finds meaning from his name... which happens to mean " peaceful ". I really hope you will give this one a listen. You won't be disappointed. Support the show…
Send us a text Loved interviewing Haleigh in this episode... and hearing her wonderful insights to these questions! (You will also hear her sweet little baby girl in the background a tiny bit...) Such a fun conversation!! (Also, the words I struggled with during this episode were ephemerality and avarice… in case you were wondering lol) Support the show…
Send us a text In this episode I share the data collected from Season Three in relation to questions #1 and #7, answer some of my listeners questions, and touch on a recent experience (and lesson learned) about speaking up for myself (and name). Support the show
Send us a text It was such a delight interviewing Cindy! The name "Cindy" comes from Greek origins and means "woman from Kynthos" and is associated with the moon goddess Artemis, and the Latin name Lucinda, meaning "light". I think you will feel so much love and light from this Cindy... so grateful to share this conversation with you all! Support the show…
Send us a text I truly enjoyed this conversation... especially because of how much it made me think, and the motivation it gave me to think outside the box. The name "Cameron" comes from Scottish and Gaelic roots, and means "crooked nose" ("cam" (bent, crooked) and "srón" (nose)). During this episode we explore both the fun and thoughtful parts about this peculiar definition of a name. You don't want to miss out on this one. Enjoy! Support the show…
Send us a text This episode is probably one of my very favorites that I've ever done... not just because it was with one of my dear friends who I genuinely love and respect... but because she truly provided a lot of profound insight into the power a name can hold. This is the second episode I've done on the name "Erin"... and I encourage you to also listen to the first "Erin" episode to compare the two, but you definitely don't want to miss out on listening to this one! Support the show…
Send us a text In this episode, I get to interview Sarah. The name "Sarah" derives from Hebrew origins and means "princess". This is the second "Sarah" that I've interviewed... I encourage you to listen to the other one and see if you catch any similarities. Let me know your thoughts! I think you'll really enjoy this episode... especially her answer on my last question... Support the show…
Send us a text This episode is very near and dear to my heart because I had the blessing of interviewing a friend of mine who I have known since elementary school. This is now the second "Samantha" I've had on the podcast... and I will be interested to analyze the differences between the two. There were some great perspectives shared throughout this episode. We even talk about the idea of names in heaven... I hope you will give it a listen. Support the show…
Send us a text This episode was a lot of fun! The name "Zuri" means beautiful... and the person I interviewed most definitely embodied a beautiful personality. I really hope you'll give this one a listen! Support the show
Send us a text The name "Brooklynn" comes from old English and means "broken land", "small stream" or "land by the brook". I had such a great time talking with Brooklynn. She had some powerful perspectives. Definitely check this episode out! Support the show

Send us a text I was blessed to interview another person in a foreign country... Amra ! The name "Amra" comes from Arabia, meaning "crown" or "thrive". In Ireland the name means "Princess" or "wonder". In Sanskrit, the name means "mango". So many meanings for such a lovely name! Amra is from Montenegro and was such a pleasure having on the podcast. I had so much fun and it was very easy to talk with Amra - the conversation flowed so well... and is one of my longest episodes to date! I know you will enjoy this episode! Support the show…
Send us a text I honestly don't think I have ever had a stronger connection with a complete stranger than I had in interviewing Nancy. The name 'Nancy" means "grace," "favored," or "pure" and originates from England. I absolutely adored our conversation... Nancy is an excellent story teller and communicator. I hope you will give it a listen - she was pretty great. So many great "light bulb" moments!! Support the show…
