Episode 110: Return of the Donkey Neapolitan ice cream themed beers are featured in the majority of this episode, for the most part anyways. Episode 108: Oh Yeah Welcoming back Mr. Jeff to the show, the jokes are still rolling still from his Halloween party costume character from a fairly well known tv show. The guys start right off with a VERY long titled special beverage from Mr. Jeff's goody bag and the conversation just keeps going as to the INSANELY good beers! Episode 107: Laughing Shake Starting the episode off with an odd story about the Starr Craft brewery Halloween party from a few days before recording, the guys are joined by brewery regulars Bob and his wife Mel, both whom have been on the show before and bring a great presence to the group. A shout out and huge congratulations also to Johnny's cousin Dave and his wife Emily on their wedding also from the weekend and the day preceding the recording, it's also why Johnny was a bit late to recording this day... Episode 88: How'd You Get in Here This episode starts with something special... More odd and questionable though we assure you all he REALLY was just fulfilling a promise made back during the bottle share a few months ago, and maybe a bit of hair of the dog from the wedding he was at the day before recording, congrats again to Mr. Matt, who has been on the show a few times, and his new wife Ashley!! Joined again by brewery regular Bob the Gray, the show starts out following the opening BS with some MORE BS then getting right into the beers. There are a decent variety of beers in this episode, some of which shared by Mr. Bob and we finally got to the beers Johnny grabbed at a gas station when he was in Ohio awhile back. Somehow they all manage to stay on topic most of the episode, probably because there were so many beers to get through but nonetheless mixed in with some fun BS as always. Episode 85: Beers of the UP The guys are joined this week by the actual Jim of Jim's Nuts!! Husband of Baker Lois who joined us a few weeks ago and whom was also in the audience with us. Episode 84: Mystery Can 2.0 Welcoming Mr. Matt back this week, the guys start out this episode off with some odd stories before starting into the first beer, a most favorite of Darrell's a wonderful sour!! Mr. Matt shows off a unique skill he has with his fingers and glass rims while Mr. Jim brings us back to the point of our show and into the next beer, which is AMAZING btw!! With some on again off again BS through the rest of the episode, there is a nice mix of beers and other random discussions. While being a bit strapped for time, the guys start going through the last few beers quickly, and discuss hot peppers again amongst other things like ingredients tasting like sop and such... Episode 82: We Have Beer Starting the episode off with one of our most enthusiastic openings yet, the guys start off with the first of a few wonderful Crowlers Mr. Jim brought from local brewery "War Water Brewery". Flashing back to coffee yet again, Johnny brings up a coffee he actually wants to try and after some discussion about a particular ingredient and some random discussion. Episode 81: Was Vaseline Used Welcoming back Mr. Marty, the guys complete the High Gravity initiation with a third episode salute! Episode 79: Generational Brews Mr. Alex and his dad Mike join the guys this week and bring a selection of their wonderful home brews. Starting with a fantastic cider the conversation gets Johnny reminiscing about his grandfathers old farm and some of the fruit options that were available while growing up around it. Moving into the next topic of discussion, mead comes back to the forefront! Talking about ways to manipulate the outcome and progressing into some talk about water quality, well water in particular, following that discussion. Getting into their final home brew presentation, the guys sample an IPA made by Alex's dad Mike out of an "Insta Kit" for its speed and simplicity, it is a fantastic example of something someone can do SUPER easy right in their home! Episode 78: BAKED This is an interesting episode, Mr. Jim unfortunately was a bit under the weather and last minute was unable to make it on recording day. We had a special guest lined up who made some AMAZING cupcakes for us so we of course had to still do an episode so apologies to Mr. Jim, you missed some FANTASTIC cupcakes and some good beers too! Episode 75: Scotchy Scotch Scotch Joined this week by Starr Craft regulars Steve and Maureen, our guests graciously share a fine selection of Scotch Whisky from their collection. In today's episode we learn why a bit of water is important in tasting techniques for Scotch, or any other liquor for that matter and they brought a unique drinking vessel that gets passed around later in the episode. A fun story about Johnny's mom from a trip their family made to Scotland years ago and toured one of the distillery's that makes a Scotch featured in this weeks episode. Episode 66: Surprise Visitors A couple of surprise visitors (Johnny's friends Ed and Sara along with their daughter) stop by to say hello and one of them (Ed) got thrown onto the mic for part of the episode. Starting off otherwise with a quick flashback to the Hulk Hogan beer, then continuing on with the episode in Quad beers! This is a fun one for Mr. Ed as he is kind of new to most of this kind of stuff! Oh and apparently the whole eagle thing happened AFTER we recorded this episode, as of recording it WAS NOT official though is now. There is a decent mix and amount of BS and beer talk in this episode, don't THINK we broke the new guy this round, so he'll probably be back at some point. Got into a bit of a discussion of Whiskey and Bourbon and a bit off topic from there, at some point circled back though after a roast of poor Johnny... There was energy drink talk again and some other stuff too.
