With the birth of his third child, Denny Hamlin missed Sunday’s race and is spending time with his family. Instead, Jared Allen and producer Travis took a look at their preseason predictions and discuss if SVG will get another win, who’s been the biggest surprise, and who’s had the most disappointing season. Denny Hamlin and his co-host Jared Allen are joined by NBC’s Steve Letarte to recap the NASCAR Championship weekend. Before getting to the races, Denny talks about blowing a lead in golf against Michael Jordan. In the Xfinity Series, Justin Allgaier finally got the monkey off his back and won his first championship. But it wasn’t easy thanks to a crash in practice, a restart penalty, and a speeding penalty. In the Cup Series, it was Joey Logano collecting his third championship. When it comes to the current Playoff format, the 22 team has written the book on how to succeed. The only car that could hang with Logano was his teammate Ryan Blaney, who ran out of laps to try and pass Logano. Team Penske has won the last 3 championships and it has left HMS, JGR, and others wondering what they have to do to find speed at Phoenix. The guys take a look at the current Playoff and discuss changes that could be made to make it better. Letarte gives out his ideal Playoff format. Plus, what happened with the pace car on Sunday and NASCAR says goodbye to Martin Truex Jr. racing full-time. And, how did Denny get sued as a 11-year-old riding a bike? Denny Hamlin dives deep into the controversy surrounding Martinsville with co-host Jared Allen. After 27 minutes of debating, NASCAR made the decision to remove Christopher Bell from the Championship 4, replacing him with William Byron. Denny agrees they ultimately made the right call. But the drama didn't stop there—talk of race manipulation stirred up due to manufacturer alliances and the Playoff format. Denny breaks down the dynamics between JGR, 23XI, and the Chevy teams, exploring how alliances impact on-track decisions and contribute to tension in the Playoff structure. He also explains why banning point discussions over in-car audio won’t solve the issue, and shares his thoughts on how the current Playoff format hinders the rise of true superstars in the sport. As for his own Playoff hopes, Denny reflects on coming up short this season but remains confident about future championship opportunities. Meanwhile, Ryan Blaney secured a dramatic walk-off win at Martinsville, earning his spot in the Championship 4 for the second year in a row. Amidst all this, Goodyear’s new tires made their debut, and Denny gives his thumbs up on the performance improvements. To wrap things up, the guys preview their Championship 4 favorites and recap the intense weekend in the Truck and Xfinity Series races from Martinsville. Denny Hamlin and his co-host Jared Allen are back after a disappointing ending to the race at Homestead-Miami on Sunday. Before getting into the race, Denny talks about fishing with his two daughters. And, Tony Stewart’s comments on the business of racing and owning a team. Denny breaks down what happened on the final laps as he saw Ryan Blaney make the pass for the lead (19:00). Blaney wasn’t able to hold on to the lead as Tyler Reddick made a move that still has people amazed and wondering how he pulled it off (24:45). Plus, was the strategy by the 45 team a gusty call or the only option they had? Was Kyle Larson’s move late in the race a smart move (33:40)? NASCAR is now headed to Martinsville for the final race of the Round of 8 (46:00). With a new tire this weekend, expectations are unknown, but one thing is clear for Denny: He wants to win. Denny Hamlin and his co-host Jared Allen are back to recap an eventful Las Vegas event where Joey Logano secured a spot in the Championship 4 with a crucial win. They debate whether Logano's victory was a surprise and break down the Playoff implications (6:00). Denny reflects on his own performance after a solid qualifying position of 4th turned into a challenging race day (12:00), and why the two-tire stop worked for Martin Truex Jr. but not for him (18:20). What exactly happened on Denny’s pit stops and did him stopping short in the box cause their problems (22:10)? Tyler Reddick went airborne after getting in a wreck with Chase Elliott and others. But, who was to blame for the wreck (24:15)? Plus, they discuss Christopher Bell’s dominant 155 laps that didn’t lead to a win (30:30), and what it means for his Playoff chances. They also take a look at what each Playoff driver needs to do in the next two weeks to advance. Joey Logano winning wasn’t good for Ryan Blaney, but Blaney still helped out his teammate at the end (38:20). Jared asks Denny what he would have done if he was in Blaney’s position. And, once again Logano won a fuel-saving race. Denny explains why the Fords are the best at fuel-saving strategies. Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen react to the breaking news that Alex Bowman has been disqualified for his car failing to meet the minimum weight and won’t be advancing in the playoffs. The guys discuss how this could happen and the benefits of having a lighter car. Kyle Larson won his second playoff race this year and once again in dominating fashion. Things looked bad for Denny when Tyler Reddick hit him in stage 1. Just how worried was Denny that his chances of advancing could be gone? And, he explains what he was thinking as Kyle Busch put pressure on him at the end of the race. Reddick put on a show at the end, coming from the back to avoid elimination. The round of eight is a star-studded cast and Denny believes that’s what fans want to see. Jared puts Denny on the spot asking him to name the four drivers who will advance. Track limits was a big topic going into Sunday’s race and apparently drivers weren’t 100% of the rule. And did NASCAR give William Byron a pass right after punishing Bubba Wallace? On Saturday, Parker Kligerman thought he had a walk-off win but a last second caution ruined his plans. The call was the right call, but how they got to the call is something that needs to be looked at.…

Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen are back after an eventful race at Talladega. To decide the order of topics for the show, they brought out a wheel to spin and let it decide. The first topic of the day is the lawsuit 23XI and Front Row Motorsports filed against NASCAR (5:20). Denny explains why 23XI couldn’t sign the charter agreement and the importance of why they are suing NASCAR. They also discuss the 11-team's decision to take two tires while others took fuel only (19:00), and whether Ricky Stenhouse Jr. should’ve been ruled part of the crash due to damage (25:00). Plus, why were the rules on Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher not enforced? Next, they tackle teams being allowed to work on cars under a red flag, managing of DVP and cars being towed back had many people frustrated (32:25). Denny also breaks down the massive 25-car wreck (42:50), how Alex Bowman ruined Ryan Blaney's day (51:10), and Daniel Suarez’s self-inflicted mistake (55:05). Finally, Denny and Jared look ahead to the final race of the round of 12 at the Charlotte Roval and the expectations are chaos. Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen are back in studio to unpack the weekend in Kansas. In this episode, they discuss Aric Almirola's impressive win in the Xfinity Series and whether or not Cole Custer had a right to be frustrated with Chandler Smith. Following all of the talk regarding the Next Gen short track package last week, Denny shares his insights and suggests potential fixes (4:20). He also expresses his concerns about upcoming changes to the Next Gen car at Talladega (16:10). They tackle Josh Berry's dissatisfaction with NASCAR's decision not to tow his car back to his pit box for new tires (21:00) and analyze how a tire puncture derailed Kyle Larson's race (26:30). The episode continues with a look at Kyle Busch's missed opportunity for victory lane (34:15) and Denny's own challenges on pit road that affected his race day. He breaks down his day and where he's at mentally heading into Talladega (42:10). Denny also explains his loose tire issues that also plagued all three Penske drivers (50:30). Expectations were high for the NASCAR race at Bristol on Saturday, hoping for massive tire falloff but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Denny Hamlin and his co-host Jared Allen discuss the reason. The guys chat about the imperfect science that goes into Goodyear making the tires. Plus, the real problem isn’t the tires, but instead the car. Denny breaks down the lap times between Kyle Larson and Todd Gilliland. Another problem with the race was many drivers were satisfied with where they were running because their goal was to not wreck and advance. Speeding penalties proved costly for Martin Truex Jr. and Ty Gibbs. The guys discuss how those penalties happened and how Denny was able to avoid having a speeding penalty. Denny shares his thoughts on the four drivers who were eliminated from the Playoffs and discusses the drivers in a good position going into the next round. They delve into Denny’s mindset when racing and how the ending of the 2010 season changed everything. Now that the first round is over, Denny sees this as a mental reset and said things are good with Lulu. The only time Denny got worried on Saturday was a caution at the end of stage 2, but he was able to get valuable stage points. Kyle Larson dominated the race and sits in first place and Denny thinks you can pencil him in to the Championship 4. They list the rest of the Playoff drivers and discuss how each person is probably feeling. Off the track, Bubba Wallace signed a contract extension with 23XI. And, Corey LaJoie and Justin Haley are swapping rides. For more Actions Detrimental content head over to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimental…

Connor Zilisch made his debut in the Xfinity Series a memorable one by winning at Watkins Glen. Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen break down Connor's race and why he is a sure-fire thing in the Cup Series. On the flipside, Denny’s race didn’t go so well on Sunday. On the first lap he was involved in a wreck and his day was almost over. Luckily the “A Team” crushed it and got him back out racing. With bad luck once again, Denny's crew chief might be starting to believe Lulu the dog is the reason for the lack of results lately. Lap 1 wasn’t the only wreck Denny was involved in. Later in the race he was in another wreck, this time with Brad Keselowski and Kyle Larson. Denny explains what happened and why this wreck wasn’t on him. While the Playoffs haven’t been kind to Denny, Bristol is the next race and the 11 team will be on the offense the entire time. Plus, they discuss how many points he needs to advance. Ryan Blaney was involved in the lap 1 wreck and wasn’t happy with NASCAR. But, Denny explains why what happened was the right call. Everyone was expecting lots of tire falloff on Sunday but that’s not exactly what happened. The question is, why? Chris Buescher and SVG had an amazing battle to win. Denny pulls up the SMT data to find out what the difference was. NASCAR is headed back to Bristol. Will we see lots of tire wear like the last race at Bristol, or will the race be different? With only 13 of 15 teams signing NASCAR's charter agreement, one notable holdout was 23XI. Co-host Jared Allen asks Denny Hamlin to weigh in on the situation. On the track, it wasn’t a great day for Denny. Starting in 38th, the hope was for attrition but it didn’t come. It looked like Denny’s plan to avoid the big one was going to work and then a caution for debris on the track ruined that plan. Kyle Petty was critical of the plan to try and get 20 points and Denny responded with his reasoning behind it. Denny and Jared discuss why there was little chaos on Sunday and if it being the first round of the Playoffs had anything to do with it. While Denny is firmly on the bubble, he is confident they can perform the next two races and advance. Meanwhile, Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe had their own Playoff struggles. Larson stays 15 points ahead of the cutline, but Briscoe may be in a must-win situation. Denny only got 13 points on Sunday, but it could have been one less if not for BJ McLeod repaying Denny. There are two more races left in the first round and Denny talks about how many points he thinks it will take to advance. One driver not worried anymore is Joey Logano, who won on Sunday and punched his ticket to the next round. NASCAR is headed to Watkins Glen next weekend and 23XI has a third car racing with the return of Juan Pablo Montoya. Denny talks about what to expect from Montoya and why it might be harder for him than he thinks. Plus, why qualifying will be so important and what to expect with the tires. The NASCAR regular season came to an end on Sunday in Darlington with a surprise winner when Chase Briscoe punched his ticket to the Playoffs. Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen discuss what this win means for Stewart-Haas Racing, who is closing their doors for good when the season ends. Three of SHR's charters have been sold and whoever bought the charter of the winning car on Sunday will get a boost in money. The move that propelled Briscoe to victory came after a restart as he passed three cars to get in first place. Denny explains how that happened. Denny also talks about what went wrong for him on the restarts at the end of the race. Did Chris Buescher right rear hook Todd Gilliland? Sunday's race was bittersweet for Denny and 23XI. Bubba Wallace was firmly on the bubble and things didn't go his way and he will miss the Playoffs. On the flipside, Tyler Reddick was able to win the driver's regular season championship by one point. The guys also talked about the art of short-pitting to gain an advantage. And, at what point did tire wear stop and the tires were even? Denny had a fast car but the only problem was he was fast on the long run. With so many races ending with multiple cautions, producer Travis asked Denny if his set-up should always favor short runs. The Playoffs begin next weekend in Atlanta and expect chaos. Plus, 23XI's Curtis Polk made a statement about the NASCAR Charter negotiations. Denny opens up a little bit about what's going on. Denny Hamlin is back after a rough couple of days on and off the track. On Thursday, the No. 11 team was given an L2 penalty for an engine-rule violation. Denny explains what happened at TRD that caused NASCAR to punish him. He also talks about the impact this will have during the Playoffs. On Saturday, things got worse when he was involved in a massive wreck that ended his race. Denny watched the rest of the race from his bus, where he saw Harrison Burton get the win and punch his Playoff ticket. Denny and Jared also discuss if Christopher Bell should have jumped to the outside lane and moved in front of Burton before Burton made his last push. After a crazy wreck last week, NASCAR made a slight change to the cars to try and prevent them from going airborne. On Saturday, we saw Michael McDowell come off the ground without flipping over. But then, Josh Berry flipped onto his roof before hitting the wall. While both wrecks looked bad, Denny still isn't worried about cars coming off the ground. The guys also talk about the massive implications that come from Burton winning on Saturday. For Wood Brothers Racing, it was a big financial win. On the flipside, drivers on the bubble lost one more available playoff spot with only one race in the regular season left. Burton was 34th in points coming into Saturday and with him winning, the Playoff format is once again coming into question. One of those drivers who might miss the Playoffs now is 23XI's Bubba Wallace. Denny chats about his driver's situation. Off the track, Trackhouse made big news announcing that they acquired a third charter for SVG. The guys chat about SVG's future and Zane Smith losing his ride for next year. Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen are back after a bittersweet race in Michigan. Before getting into the race, Denny and Jared talk about NASCAR taking away Austin Dillon's playoff berth and how the appeal process works. Denny also explains what happened last year during his appeal hearing for his incident with Ross Chastain. Tyler Reddick was victorious on Monday, getting his second win of the season, but a late-race caution almost ruined it. The guys debate whether NASCAR's caution for Martin Truex Jr. was the right call. Another decision discussed was the start time of the race. If there is bad weather expected like NASCAR got on Sunday, should the start time be moved up? Or, should the start time be earlier for every race? Denny had a fast car when the race started on Sunday, but things got bad when he spun out trying to pass Bubba Wallace. He explains why the mistake happened and what was going on in his mind. Denny and Jared also answer a question circulating on social media: is Kyle Larson a better driver than Max Verstappen? One factor teams didn't expect to play such a big role in the race was the wind. The driver who got the worst of this was Corey LaJoie, who found himself airborne. And while it looked bad, Denny believes flipping is a better outcome than hitting the wall head on. Tyler Reddick ended up in Victory Lane and has been on a tear lately. Denny isn't shocked, and it's this kind of driving that made him go sign Reddick in the first place. Denny then gets into the struggle of trying to win while, at the same time, helping 23XI drivers and his fellow teammates at JGR, who will then try to beat him on Sundays. Finally, there are two races left in the regular season and the guys chat about what to expect next weekend in Daytona. Denny Hamlin is joined by co-host Jared Allen after an interesting end to the race in Richmond on Sunday night. Denny explains why he wasn’t mad about restarting third on the final restart and he was expecting a wreck. Once Joey Logano was wrecked by Austin Dillon, Denny thought the checkered flag was his. Dillon ended up right-hooking Denny and while some claimed Denny went up the track, he says the SMT data shows Dillon hooked him. Denny is now calling on NASCAR to make the tough call and enforce the rules. Dillon’s spotter was animated at the end and Denny wasn’t a fan of how he handled himself. The guys also discuss what the penalty should be for Dillon if given one considering a points penalty or money really doesn’t change much. If no penalty is handed down, does this mean it’s open season for drivers to wreck people going forward? And what stops anyone from wrecking someone to win the championship in Phoenix? The format of "win and you’re in the Playoffs" didn’t help prevent this incident either. And, should one win punch a driver’s ticket to playoffs or does the format need changed? The integrity of the sport is on the line depending on what NASCAR decides to do, especially since Dillon wrecked not one but two drivers to win the race. Logano made it known on pit road he wasn’t happy with Dillon, but Denny doesn’t see a fine coming to him for what he did. Plus, NASCAR had option tires for the first time and Denny thinks they need to use those tires full-time on short tracks. In other NASCAR news, 23XI has a third driver coming up at Wakins Glen and Corey LaJoie is out a Spire after this year. Denny Hamlin is back from a disappointing Sunday at the Brickyard 400. Denny and his co-host Jared Allen talk about what was needed to win the race and where he lost it (12:30). As predicted, the Next Gen car made it impossible to pass (14:00). Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski were penalized for “blend line violation” and weren’t happy. But NASCAR informed everyone the day before on what the rule was (23:46). Brad Keselowski running out of gas was exactly what Kyle Larson needed (27:30). On the flipside, it ruined Ryan Blaney’s day. How should NASCAR handle this situation going forward? And, did Larson jump the start? Denny pulls up the SMT data to find out. Did NASCAR get it wrong on the timing on the caution for Ryan Preece (37:00)? What exactly was on the notepad that Chase Elliott handed to Denny (49:20)? Plus, what did teams learn about the tires for Bristol? And, is the qualifying format dumb (56:00)? Denny Hamlin is back after a second-place finish in Pocono. Denny explains what the difference was in winning and coming in second behind Ryan Blaney. Denny had a chance to get Blaney on a restart, but Martin Truex Jr. jumping out of line ruined that plan (12:20). What exactly happened with Corey LaJoie and Kyle Busch? And, can Busch still turn things around this season (20:00)? Bubba Wallace is firmly on the Playoff bubble, but made up some ground on Ross Chastain (27:10). Still, the team needs to find more speed. NASCAR is headed to Indianapolis Motor Speedway next weekend, returning to the oval, and Denny talks about the strategy and how important the inside lane is (34:00). Section 7 on pit road proved costly for Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott on Sunday (38:30). What happened and will NASCAR take a look at how they monitor pit road at Pocono going forward? Denny covers off on recent NASCAR news surrounding Spire hiring crew chief Rodney Childers (53:30) and Noah Gragson joining Front Row Motorsports next year (57:00). Plus, why 23XI didn’t appeal Bubba’s fine and #DearDenny.…

Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen are back after a long Sunday in Chicago. Denny explains why he continues to struggle racing in the rain. Racing ethics went out the window during the last few laps (4:20). They also discussed good decision-making when NASCAR told the teams they were racing the clock (15:30). But why didn't NBC move the race up (20:50)? Josh Berry's caution on lap 51 proved to be a game-changer (25:00). Denny explains what went wrong for Tyler Reddick (26:50) and Bubba Wallace's frustration with Alex Bowman, that culminated in a run-in on the cooldown lap (34:20). Denny dives into why it's good for the sport to race in Chicago (39:00) before discussing if being friends and co-owners with Michael Jordan has influenced his competitiveness (43:50). Will we see more racing against the clock in the future (52:24)? Plus, Alex Bowman's 80-race winless streak is snapped but should not be considered a fluke. Denny Hamlin is back from a disappointing end to his race Sunday in Nashville. He is joined by Tyler Reddick, who won the Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge but was also upset with how things ended on Sunday. Tyler opens up about why he was so frustrated after finishing in third place (3:00). Kyle Busch was not counted as one of the cars in one of the overtime crashes (7:00). How was Joey Logano able to finish the race and not run out of fuel (9:20)? And, are all the fuel cells in the cars the same? Austin Cindric was punished for an illegal fan (25:30). Can we officially call Denny Hamlin versus Kyle Larson a rivalry (28:00)? What does NASCAR need to do with Carson Hocevar for wrecking Harrison Burton (33:50)? Was Joey Logano mad at the wrong person (42:40)? Tyler Reddick talks about how his season is going so far and makes one request from Denny for winning his bracket challenge (45:20). Denny Hamlin is back after an up-and-down weekend in New Hampshire. Denny won the second stage and was expecting the race to end once it started to rain (4:40). Why did the track widen when the cars went to their wet tires (9:45)? Denny had a helpless feeling when he couldn’t run the same line as Christopher Bell (14:00). Plus, Denny explains the difference between setting up the car for dry vs wet weather. Bubba Wallace didn’t have a great race and sits squarely on the playoff bubble. Is Denny happy with how 23XI has been racing lately (19:40)? Did NASACR make the right decision in how they handled the wet tires? Should there be non-competitive cautions? And why was every team allowed to fill up on fuel before the restart (23:30)? Michael McDowell went for broke once again (35:10). Kyle Larson’s spotter was not happy with how Kyle races around Denny (37:30). Is Christopher Bell the favorite to win the NASCAR Championship(42:30)? Tyler Reddick faces off against Chase Elliott for the Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge Championship (45:30). Gene Haas isn’t leaving NASCAR. Christopher Bell slips up in a press conference about the No. 19 car. And what changes will we see to the 2025 NASCAR schedule (47:00)? Lastly, one final “pupdate”. Denny Hamlin is back in studio after a 24th-place finish in Iowa. Denny discusses what happened with his car and why the No. 11 team missed the setup. Even still, Denny looked to have a chance to finish in the top 10 until he got caught up in an accident with Kyle Larson. Before this weekend’s race, many were critical of the partial repave at Iowa Speedway. Denny explains why the track performed better than people expected. While the repave worked, Denny still has a request for Goodyear. Denny breaks down his POV from the driver’s seat, including the unintentional contact with Larson. Denny and cohost Jared Allen discuss how Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s strategy paid off, helping him get a top-five finish. Did NASCAR get it right with the Daniel Hemric caution call? The guys also talk about how Larson had the fastest car, but his day was finished when Daniel Suarez caused him to wreck. Meanwhile, the Fords had a quiet start to the season but they have found speed the last couple weeks as evidenced by Ryan Blaney and Austin Cindric’s wins. Does that make Joey Logano the most dangerous driver on the cut line? Denny has had back-to-back bad weeks, but he isn’t worried about how things are going. In their off-track discussion, Denny and Jared wonder if Sam Mayer should be one of the drivers considered for a Cup car next year. Denny’s longtime teammate, Martin Truex Jr., announced that he is retiring from driving full time and Denny talks about what that means. Also, Denny gives the latest update on the charter discussions with NASCAR. Plus, fans send questions in for #DearDenny and we get a “pupdate” on Lulu. Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen are back after a short trip to Sonoma. Denny explains what happened on lap 2, which saw his engine fail, ending his day. Stages 1 and 2 had 8 cautions, and Denny explains why this might have happened. Tyler Reddick had a good day until he made contact with Kyle Larson after pitting (12:00). Kyle Larson had a fast car, but it was their strategy that set them up for success (14:45). Ryan Blaney saw his race ruined last week when he ran out of fuel and we saw that happen again this week with Martin Truex Jr. and others. (24:15) Who is to blame for Ross Chastain running into Kyle Busch at the end of the race (29:30)? There are only 10 races left in the regular season. Who should be worried about missing the playoffs (37:30)? SVG and Austin Hill have a little rivalry brewing in the Xfinity Series (43:00). First up, the crew recaps Shane Van Gisbergen's first career win in the Xfinity Series at Portland. In the Cup Series, race strategy was flipped on its head when Josh Berry wrecked. Denny breaks down Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch’s on-track beef and who was at fault. The show takes a break from all of the race chatter when Denny’s daughter Taylor joins to talk about the dog they found in St. Louis. Christopher Bell was looking like he would pass Ryan Blaney to get his third win of the season, but engine failure ruined his day. Even if his engine didn’t fail, Denny wonders if he would have been able to make the pass. With Bell’s race over it looked like Blaney would cruise to his first victory of the season – and then he ran out of gas. The guys discuss how this happened. Austin Cindric was the driver to take advantage and get his first win of the season. The first round of the DH Bracket Challenge brought chaos and upsets. The guys react to the surprising outcomes. In this episode, Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen delve into Joey Logano's standout performance and the tire strategies used in the All-Star race. They debate whether NASCAR should adopt the soft compound tire for future races and discuss the potential of North Wilkesboro Speedway hosting a points race, considering the success of its repave (31:00). Denny shares a surprising issue with the track that has more to do with beer sales than racing. The episode heats up with a breakdown of the post-race altercation between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch (38:30). Denny reacts to the incident, analyzing what triggered the fight and if either driver was at fault for the initial wreck. He also dissects the failed conversation between Ricky and Kyle that led to punches being thrown and shares his own strategy if he were to fight another driver. Off the track, NASCAR's announcement of an in-season bracket challenge for next year sparks further discussion (1:03:00). The team also examines the uncertain future of Stewart-Haas Racing (1:10:00).
